SPRING OR WINTER?
2013 has been an amazing spring in the UK with widely variable weather and much colder temperatures. For aerial filming, there's a bonus. Just after a front passes through (often!), the air behind is amazingly clear. With the added bonus of spring sunshine, the very cold temps don't worry us. We love that cold vis!
Recent tasks in Scotland 3000ft up the Cairngorms (above) and in Wales' Black Mountains at 2000ft have proved perfect territory for aerial filming. Even in 40mph+ winds.
Rumour has it, summer is just over the hill......

FlyingTV was started by broadcaster Mike Smith in 2003. Since then, we've flown over 3500hrs on airborne filming tasks for every UK broadcaster.
Our 2 lead helicopters carry identical Cineflex Ikegami F30 gyrostab systems recording tapeless HD AVC Intra 100.
We also supply a 3rd identical system for "flyaway" use on other helicopters and vehicles. This system can also be fitted to our available AS355 twin-engine helicopter when required.
And we organise VIP helicopter transport for production teams, photographers and other media clients.
Everything we do is based in our custom-built 8000 sq ft hangar and offices. Under one roof we offer complete media flying services.
