Robinson R44 Raven II
Flying TV is the only UK operator to offer purpose built Robinson R44 aerial filming helicopters. These 21st century machines are both safe and efficient whilst giving you, the client, value for money.
With on-board VHF coms and COFDM HD video transmitters for live work, they really are flying TV studios. And following extensive R&D in partnership with Eurolynx, we also offer up-look transmission for live work with a relay aircraft.
Airbus AS355 Twin Squirrel
In addition to our Robinson helicopters, we operate the Airbus AS355 Twin Squirrel. Perfect for shoots over parts of London, or where a brief requires us to fly low over built up areas in any part of the UK.
A light, versatile helicopter, the twin engine Squirrel is popular with defence, or police forces, due to good cruising speed and endurance.
Able to fly in most weather conditions and highly manouverable, the perfect choice for close proximity helicopter filming needs. A stable platform, which has stood the test of time and been responsible for amazing aerial footage.
Cinema Series – GSS C516
Flexible payload configurations and rock solid images, with a virtual sixth axis for steerable pan and tilt in the vertical look down – great for plan view shots.
Our system is available with the fabulous Arri Alexa Mini, Red Weapon Helium or Canon C300 MKII cameras and Angenieux Optimo 25-250, Canon CN-E 14.5-60 or Canon CN-E 20×50 lenses. We can perform lens changes in the field in minutes, so your shooting options are never compromised.
Cineflex V14 and V12
Cineflex is synonymous with aerial filming throughout the broadcast and film industries. Their multi axis, gyro stabilisation system ensures smooth shots and the set up is adaptable, to meet every production need.
We operate both the lightweight V12 and larger V14 HD platforms. These systems utilise the Ikegami HDL-F30, or Sony HDC 1500 high definition aerial cameras and Canon HJ22x7.8 or Fujimon HA42x3.7 lenses
Our GSS C516 gimbal, together with cameras, lenses and aircraft mounts, is available with a tech/op for filming tasks worldwide.
The whole system packs into six, sub-32kg cases that can travel as excess baggage – and as the gyro technology used in the GSS is not ITAR sensitive, it can travel to destinations that would otherwise be impossible.
