We are dedicated to aerial filming

FlyingTV is a UK registered company dedicated to aerial filming. You can read more about our crews on this website. The company is lead by broadcaster and 600-hr helicopter pilot Mike Smith. With a 30-year background in live and recorded broadcasting and over 15 years in aviation, Mike started the company because he realised what a nightmare it used to be trying to make an aerial shoot happen.

Rapid response

FlyingTV is customer service driven and we respond rapidly to our clients’ requests. Working to the strict rules of the Air Navigation Order and watched by the CAA, we are specialists in Aerial Work.

Safety first

Our helicopters are maintained by one of the world’s biggest dealers, Heli Air. Licensed engineers check our fleet every 50 hours of flying and our commercial pilots check each machine immediately prior to any mission.

Getting the right shots

Our top priority after safety is getting the shots you need. We only use professional aerial camera operators who have trained on our system, and we prefer these operators to also have a helicopter licence so that they understand the way the machine works.
